Dear Parents,
As you are aware Scoil Cholmcille has been granted permission to build a General Purpose Room and car park. We were fortunate to receive funding room Indaver for this project. However, there is a shortfall.
We are holding a 5k Run on February 21st at 1pm in order to bridge this shortfall of funds. All money raised from the 5k run will go directly towards the cost of building a car park. I’m sure you will agree that this is something much needed at Mount Hanover as the current set up is dangerous for our children. Therefore we are asking everyone to please support the 5k run. It is important that the event is a success.
Registration is now open online at www.totaltiming.ie at a cost of €15. U16’s cannot register online but may still take part. We will be sending home sponsorship cards with the children in the next week. Please note that these sponsorship cards will take the place of the annual sponsored walk at the Fete day.
We will also be looking for volunteers to help out on the day e.g. stewarding, catering, registration, number and t-shirt collection.
There will be an official launch night and information session for all parents on Thursday January 14th at 7.30pm in the school. Please attend to find out more about the 5k run.
