Dear parents,
As you are aware Scoil Cholmcille Mount Hanover is holding a 5K Road Race and Fun Run on Sunday February 21st at 1pm. You can register for this race on www.totaltiming.ie at a cost of €15. The first 100 entries get a once off Mount Hanover NS technical t-shirt! U.16’s cannot register online for health and safety reasons but can still participate in the race on the day!
This race is a huge undertaking and as it is held on public roads we will need help. There will be rolling road closures on the day. That is where you come in! We will need approx. 30 volunteers to help with the stewarding. We need two stewards at each junction to ensure the safety for all the runners and walkers taking place. Stewards must be over 18. We would encourage the whole family to get involved so if you would like to volunteer your help please forward your details (Name, mobile and email address) onto to Ms. O’Loughlin ASAP.
Catering is also another area which will require help. After the race there will be refreshments made available to all participants. Refreshments will include sandwiches, cakes, apple tarts etc. If you would like to help with this aspect of the race please let us know.
Remember this event is being held to bridge the shortfall for the GP Room and car park. All money raised will go directly to the project. The GP room and car park will benefit all students in Mount Hanover so please lend your support in whatever way you can!
Sponsorship cards will be send home to each family. Please go far and wide with the sponsorship cards!
