Blue Star Programme

The 5th & 6th class are working towards their first Blue Star Flag. This week they were working on European Countries. The children created a project on a country of their choice using the school Chromebooks. They then created a Google Slide on their chosen country. Well done everyone.

Claret & Blue School Programme

The 5th & 6th Class children are just finishing up the Claret & Blue Futsal programme. Thank you to Aoife from Drogheda United for working with the children.

They will have their final session on Monday February 16th. On Tuesday afternoon the children will have a meet & greet with two Drogheda United players in school. The children will have the opportunity to ask the players questions and get autographs.

Denim Day for Dementia

We will be holding a fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland on Friday February 27th. The children can wear their denims to school on that Friday. Suggested donation of €2 per child. If you wish you can donate online at our fundraiser page:

Congratulations to our 6th Class children who received the Sacrament of Confirmation yesterday.

Thank you to Bishop Deenihan, Fr Stephen and Fr Brendan for a lovely ceremony.

Thank you also to the Parents Association for the lovely cupcakes for the class.

Love Themed Art

Busy working on some ‘Love’ themed art this month in 5th & 6th Class.

Blue Star Programme

The 5th & 6th Class children are working towards the school’s first Blue Star Flag. The Blue Star Programme is an education initiative for primary school pupils across Ireland. The idea of the Programme is simple: to foster better understanding and knowledge of the European Union and how it affects the lives of Irish citizens among primary pupils through classroom projects and activities.

Our first activity was to learn all about the countries of Europe.
