The Department of Education and Skills are introducing a new language curriculum for English and Irish in schools.
The training for teachers has gotten underway. There was a half day information session for Principals in Term 1, followed by a seminar for 2 members of staff in Term 3.
The Department has asked all schools to close for a full day to facilitate staff training on the New Curriculum. This must be completed before the end of the school year and is mandatory for all schools.
We will close on Friday April 29th to facilitate this training.
