3rd / 4th Class Monasteries

In History we were learning all about monasteries and what you would find in a monastery for example, church, round tower, scriptorium, refectory and farmland. We also looked at the map and saw where monasteries are located throughout Ireland. A famous one close to the school is Mellifont Abbey outside Drogheda. We made our own in groups using junk materials, papier mache and then painted them. Have a look!
