Fun in the Infant Classroom

Fun in the Infant Classroom

We have had lot of fun in the Infant classroom during our first two weeks back at school.

For Gaeilge, we learnt all about Mé Féin. We learnt how to say “Is mise….”. We also did lots of rhymes and songs like, Lámh, Lámh Eile and Is mise an Traein.

In Maths, we did lots of matching activities both in our books and on the Interactive Whiteboard (IWB).

Senior Infants were busy revising their letter sounds and using their sounds to blend words. Junior Infants, meanwhile, did 4 new sounds, s, a, t and i. They did fantastic work.

In Art, we made some “Star Names” and today we worked in pairs to develop our cutting skills.

PE was lots of fun because Jenny from Meath GAA is teaching us some new skills.

We also learnt a new song in Music called “Slap the Sillies Out”.

It really was a very busy two weeks!! Take a look at some photos of our classroom.
