Today we went on our school tour!
We all went to “The Crystal Maze” in Kilmainham Wood.
The buses left here at 9.15 and after approx 45 minutes the two buses full with very excited children pulled into “The Crystal Maze.”
Our leaders met us off the bus and brought us to our lunch benches. We then had a snack while they divided us up into teams.
Each team then picked a team name. There were some interesting names ranging from “Peppa Pig United” to “Charlie’s Angels” to “Mixed Fruit” to name but a few!!
The teams then headed off with their leaders to complete some challenges. Each team leader led their team on a different course. Some teams took shots at a basketball hoop, others had to find their way through the maze while a tug of war was another challenge. Some of the older teams got to complete a river walk!
The team leaders were fantastic with the children and really emphasised the importance of teamwork and team bonding. It was great to see the children working together and coming up with team chants and songs!!
We also got a fabulous crystal trophy to bring back to the school with us to remind us of our day at the crystal maze!
